our cafe
My husband, Josh, and I have a strong passion for food, coffee and our two pugs, Bowie and Mate. We have combined these loves of ours to bring you our very first cafe, Little Black Pug.
Our backgrounds in science brings a different approach to our food and coffee. We love simple, tasty food, done with precision and care. We also care for the environment and aim to reduce, reuse and recycle as much as we can.
At the end of the day, we are doing what we love, and we hope that you will get a feel for that.
xoxo Louise

seasonal menu
Our seasonal menus highlight the freshness of our local produce, the cultural diversities of our customer base, and the different food tolerances and preferences of individuals.
Our menu may be small,
but it is definitely diverse:
99% gluten free
60% vegetarian
30% vegan
functions
In late 2018, we took on the lease of another building within our complex. We renovated it into a bright, plant-based, and airy space suitable for dining of large groups and hosting functions.
Since then, we have hosted birthday parties, baby showers, hen's parties, and business networking meetings in this space.

frequently asked questions
Can I bring my dog to the cafe?
Yes, however, as per Brisbane City Council Food Health laws, dogs are only permitted in our outdoor dining area. Accesible via Logan Road.
Will the pugs be there?
We will always announce on social media when the pugs are making a visit.
Is the cafe coeliac friendly?
We have many gluten free items on our menu, however, as there are items on our menu which do contain gluten we cannot guarantee that all items will be 100% gluten free. We take precautions, such as only using gluten free ingredients in our deep fryers, but we ask that you always advise our staff if you suffer from coeliac disease.
